Work, among all its abstracts, is actually intimacy,
the place where the self meets the world.

About Amelia

A systems-oriented mind and a purpose-driven heart led me to a career in cross-sector collaboration for meaningful change. I work independently but rarely alone, thanks to my trusted network of collaborators, with whom I partner to meet the unique needs of each project. My style is relational, grounded, strategic, and creative, shaped by my experience as a social entrepreneur, corporate director, and network coordinator.

As a Converge Network Co-Creator, I helped cultivate dozens of diverse impact networks, co-developed our open-source toolkit, and contributed to the book, Impact Networks.

Before planting a stake in the consulting field, I founded My Street Grocery to increase equitable access to food. After its acquisition by Whole Foods Market, I followed it there to launch the company's first comprehensive food access initiative as Director of Food Access Programs. This was my crash course in understanding that complex, systemic challenges demand cross-sector collaboration.
I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon, with an exuberant border collie and a wily garden. In some parallel universe, I like to think I’m an artist, musician, or poet. I love a philosophical debate during a shared meal. As a relational introvert, I thrive in solitude and draw energy from authentic, trust-based relationships. I believe meaningful connections can change the world.
Collaborators
Over time, I've built a trusted network of collaborators — facilitators, researchers, writers, designers, and strategists — who share a relational approach to complex work.

These are people I know well, trust deeply, and love working alongside. Every project begins with the work itself: what's needed, who's needed, and how we can best support the people and purpose at the center. Based on this assessment, many projects include one or more of my collaborators.
